the big accrington sleep out poster

REGISTER INTEREST for the Big Accrington Sleep Out!

On Friday 23 October 2026, Maundy Relief and Shelter Lancashire are coming together to host The Big Accrington Sleep Out. This aim to create a powerful community event raising vital funds and awareness to support people affected by homelessness in our community.

A sleep out is not an attempt to recreate or experience homelessness. No one can replicate the trauma, uncertainty and challenges of not having a safe place to call home. Instead, this event is an opportunity to stand in solidarity with people affected by homelessness, raise vital funds and increase awareness of the housing emergency.

Lancashire Constabulary are looking for volunteers from the Hyndburn area to join our Independent Advisory Group (IAG).

The IAG provides an opportunity for local people to share their views, experiences and community perspectives, helping Lancashire Constabulary better understand the communities it serves and shape local policing.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who are actively involved in, connected to, or represent local communities, groups, or networks.
